Enjoy a round of mini golf, compete in 2-player games in the Arcade, challenge each other in Laser Maze or Laser Tag, and then pick out a prize for each other at the end of the night. The 18 holes of mini golf course are lit, making it a great stop after dinner out! It is a bar with a focus on video games, arcades, board games, and other recreational activities.
Pay by the hour or play all day. Not a bar. Located in Lakeland Lakeland, it is a one-stop shop for dinner, drinks and fun. The Back Nine — Eat, drink, golf and have fun at this new venue in Lakeland. There is also a multisport option that allows you to play football, baseball, dodgeball, hockey, and more. Full bar and restaurant. Take a Cooking Class — Get hands-on spots the kitchen with a cooking class. Couples skate anyone??
Batting Cages — Not the most traditional date idea but still plenty of fun, head to the batting cages for a sporty date night. We have 2 indoor batting cages in town date are open to the public. Put on those silly shoes and see who can get the most strikes or spares. Movies — As a spots, the quiet of a movie theater is sometimes the ideal date night.
Go to a Sporting Event — With 4 professional sports teams right here in Lakeland, you can catch a soccer, football, or date game as a date. Get Coffee — This sounds simple but sometimes simple is good. Grab a cup of coffee and just spend time talking to each other. Nineteen61 — One of my personal favorites in Lakeland, Nineteen61 serves Latin American cuisine with a modern twist and an upscale dining experience. Open for lunch and dinner daily as well as Sunday brunch.
Reservations are recommended. Frescos Southern Kitchen and Bar — Frescos serves a combination of modern and traditional southern eats, handcrafted cocktails, and a delicious weekend brunch.
Open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Housemade pasta, delicious traditional Italian dishes, a lovely wine menu, and my favorite appetizer in town — fried eggplant. Open nightly for dinner, reservations recommended. Located in the Lake Miriam Plaza. The Terrace Grill is also a favorite place for a romantic dinner, as of publishing it is temporarily closed for renovations.

Open daily for lunch and dinner. A large outdoor patio is located at the front of the restaurant, but be sure you peek inside to check out the car decor and fun restrooms. Arabellas — Serving Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, created from the freshest ingredients and served in a warm, casually elegant atmosphere.
Open for lunch and dinner. Nutwood — This farm to table restaurant is a local favorite that serves local fare, sustainable and delicious. Open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday Brunch.
Outdoor dining is available on the patio. The dinner menu has fresh seafood, angus steaks and a full service liquor bar. Located in Winter Haven. Outdoor seating on the back deck along the lake. Harborside — Sunset views over Lake Shipp make this a great place date enjoy outdoor dining in Winter Haven.
Known for steaks, seafood, and casual American fare. Open daily for lunch and dinner, accessible by boat. Outdoor dining on the patio or the screened deck. Prefer somewhere that is outdoors? Going on a Lakeland Day Date? There are plenty of things to do spots during the day here in Lakeland and Central Florida. Go kayaking or canoeing — Floating down a river or exploring the coast of Florida in a kayak is the perfect way to spend a day when the weather is beautiful. With plenty of lakes, rivers, coastlines, and springs only hours from Lakeland, we found plenty of amazing spots to rent a kayak or book a tourincluding 3 right here in the Lakeland area.
Water Sports — Enjoy time on the water with your date. Lessons and tours are available on the Chain of Lakes in Winter Haven. You can also waterski or wakeboard at Elite Cable Park in Auburndale. Hollis Garden — Stroll through this amazing botanical garden in Lakeland and learn about the variety of flowers and plants there. Opens at 10am, closed Mondays. Go for a nighttime stroll — One of our favorite night time views is Lake Mirror at night. The pathway is nice and wide with views of Downtown Lakeland all lit up.
